Bill Lovato

Born in Saguache, Colorado, his career began at the age of 5, singing traditional Spanish songs and playing current country songs on the lap steel guitar. Bill performed throughout the San Luis Valley. In 1957, the family drove to Salt Lake City, Utah for an audition for the “Ted Mack Amateur Hour” episode. His audition was successful and he performed the following night.

In 1971 Bill went on the road with several bands and released an album in 1978 titled “Have A Nice Change”.

In 1980, Bill formed the “Trespasser Band” and in 1983 released a CD titled “Reach For The Love”. The Trespasser Band toured thoughout the United States as well as Canada until 2000. In 2015, Bill was inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame.
